In Flux

Inspired by my roots in rural, south Georgia, this installation defies demeaning tropes of the blue-collar southern individual. Marrying the sacred to the simple, In Flux places Greco-Roman stylized human hands and hearts in the physical space of a utilitarian style workshop. Vulnerable human anatomy in a rugged, often hazardous environment elicits care for these objects and by extension the individuals who they represent.
